Mucinex DM 12-Hour Extended-Release Tablets 40 ct is a dual-action cough and chest congestion medicine designed to help relieve coughing and mucus buildup in the chest for up to 12 hours per dose. Each bi-layer tablet combines an immediate-release and extended-release mechanism to provide both fast and long-lasting symptom control.

Features:

-Each bi-layer tablet contains 600 mg of guaifenesin, an expectorant that helps loosen and thin mucus. The tablets also contain 30 mg of dextromethorphan HBr, a cough suppressant that helps reduce the urge to cough.

-The guaifenesin component helps make mucus less thick, so it’s easier to clear, while dextromethorphan reduces the cough reflex. The extended-release tablet is designed to provide relief for up to 12 hours, so it only needs to be taken twice daily when used as directed.

-Do not combine with other products containing dextromethorphan or guaifenesin unless directed.
